FameFit respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS and watchOS fitness tracking application.

Information We Collect

Health and Fitness Data

• Workout data from Apple HealthKit including:
  • Workout type, duration, and dates
  • Calories burned and distance traveled
  • Heart rate data during workouts
• This data is used to calculate XP, track your fitness progress, and display achievements

Account Information

• Your name from Sign in with Apple (we do NOT receive or store your email address)
• A unique identifier to manage your account
• Username you choose for your profile
• Optional profile information (bio, workout preferences)

Activity Data

• Workouts you complete and choose to share
• Group workouts you create or participate in
• Social interactions (kudos given/received, follows)
• Achievements and challenge participation

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Track and display your fitness progress
• Calculate XP and unlock achievements
• Enable social features (if you choose to participate)
• Sync your data between your iPhone and Apple Watch
• Send optional notifications about workouts and social interactions

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Health data is stored locally on your device
• Cloud Storage: Data is synced using your private iCloud/CloudKit container
• Privacy: Only you have access to your private health data unless you explicitly choose to share specific workouts
• No Third Parties: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's security infrastructure

Your Privacy Choices

You have full control over your data:

• HealthKit Permissions: Manage what health data FameFit can access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health
• Profile Privacy: Set your profile to private to limit who can see your activities
• Workout Sharing: Choose which workouts to share to your activity feed
• Notifications: Control which notifications you receive in the app settings
• Account Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account
